The Professor
Dr. Rosenfarb is leader of Beth Messiah Synagogue in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and serves as Mid-Atlantic Regional Director for the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations.

From His Introduction
"We're going to talk about the 'Jews' and what that might mean. The 'Jews' are not -- all the Jewish people, the 'Jews' are the Judean party. [There was] the Jubilees party; the Maccabean party; [and] the Essene party. The Judean party [was] the anti-Yeshua party. A different mind-set. [Return to Top]

"[What is] common to Judaism? What would be the monolithic theorems that would hold Judaism together? -- One God, revealed through God's Torah, acted out through Halacha!

"As we develop the various subjects throughout the week, you will see that there was not A Judaism, of which we can say 'That's Orthodox Judaism of the first century! You just aren't going to see it. What your are going to see is 'JudaismS' ...and their various halachas -- Discussions. How are those discussion going to take place? Exactly as the Gospels portrayed them. It is one of the authentications of the Gospels." [Return to Top]
